Apprenticeship Funding Leicestershire
Loughborough College will strive to secure funding for apprentices from the National Apprenticeship Service on your behalf to support training, staff recruitment and the continuing staff development needs of your organisation. We are in a great place geographically; being equidistant from the cities of Leicester, Derby and Nottingham, and for those candidates who may need to visit the college as part of the apprenticeship scheme, we are supported with an excellent transport network.
The size of the contribution available for training apprentices varies depending on your sector and the age of the candidate. If the apprentice is aged 16–18 years old, you will receive 100 per cent of the cost of the training; if they are 19-24 years old, you will receive up to 50 per cent; if they are 25 years old or over you may only get a contribution depending on the sector and area in which you operate. We believe the key is to choose an employee who is going to be right for you.
Full recruitment service including:
Working with you to develop an apprenticeship package which will ensure your time remains precious.
As part of the package and ongoing support, we can handle the recruitment and selection of all apprentices, we have the capability to advertise, pre-screen, coordinate assessment centres and provide post interview feedback, ensuring you save on staff recruitment costs and time.
We work closely with local schools, connexions and the job centres and are able to communicate with them the benefits of working within the public sector. As well as advertising your vacancy, we have our own candidate pool who apply directly to the college, we will also discuss your opportunities with them.
We can also work with direct line managers to ensure they are up-skilled in areas such as coaching and mentoring apprentices to allow them to support the programme.
This contribution is paid directly to Loughborough College as the training provider that supports the Apprenticeship should it be the best training solution for you. The government contribution means that any costs incurred by your business are kept to a minimum. Funding options will be discussed with you by one of our dedicated client account managers so that you know exactly what you will receive from us as a training provider and the commitment needed from your organisation.
Train to Gain Funding
This is designed to help businesses get the employee training they need to succeed by funding NVQs at Level 1, 2, 3 and some at Level 4. In addition Train to Gain funding is available to improve skills levels in Literacy, Numeracy and Language qualifications. Established by the Government and funded through the LSC, Train to Gain has been rolled out nationally across England and has been developed from the highly successful Employer Training Pilots.
Aimed at businesses of all sizes and from all sectors, it aims to meet the needs of employers by ensuring that staff have the right skills to do the best job. It can help businesses improve their productivity and competitiveness, and aims to encourage all businesses and individuals to value and realise the benefits that learning and skills can bring.
It also offers additional flexibilities for businesses of 250 employees or less, who might not ordinarily engage in, or release employees for training. Small organisations (fewer than 50 employees) can apply for financial support to meet the cost of staff taking time out of work when training under the Train to Gain service.
